Moscow, Washington should respect Armenian people's choice - Raffi Hovannisian (updated)

Leader of Armenia’s Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian continues his provincial visits for already the third day. Today he is in Kotayk province and is going to be in the towns of Charentsavan, Byureghavan, Nor Hatchn and Abovian.

Yesterday and the day before he was visiting Ararat, Vayots Dzor and Syunik provinces where he met with his voters.
 

‘Barev revolution’ has reached today Armenia’s town of Charentsavan in Kotayk province. Addressing the people Raffi Hovannisian again demanded resignation of Syunik governor which he said should be followed with the resignation of the Kotayk governor.

“People of Syunik were in fear in their own province and did not come to the meeting. I am against separate, provincial approaches and I am sure, Syunik’s governor will resign,” he stated.

He urged the people to get prepared for the victory and not consolidate this victory over one person but over them.
The Heritage party leader also reminded the people about the authorized rally today at 5.00 pm in Yerevan Liberty Square and said those who will hinder their way, their right to come will be punished.

One of residents of Charentsavan said the residents of the town were selling their votes for the past 15 years, while this time they sold it at lower price. He said they are ready to follow Raffi Hovannisian if, of course, he goes till the end.
Another woman was loudly stating that she is cleaning toilets but lives very good and is pleased with president Serzh Sargsyan.

Reaching Byureghavan Raffi Hovannisian noticed his campaign posters on the walls of the building and torn them, saying he would not allow any law breaches, adding that after elections the candidates are to clean the territories from their posters in public places.

“Until the end of my service I will keep my word. And if anyone violates your right to come to the Yerevan Liberty Square today or on March 2, I want to know about it,” Hovannisian said.

He recited the provisions of his electoral program – opening of at least 180,000 jobs, high salary, no handout, safe small and medium-sized family business, rich villages, protected nature.

“Protected nature, nature belongs to all of us, starting from Hrazdan to Syunik, Teghut, Trchkan, Lake Sevan and Kajaran. We must respect the nature, we must keep it clean for our children,” Hovannisian said.

He said all those who failed to serve the people and who mocked people’s choice must resign.

From Byureghavan Raffi Hovannisian moved to Nor Hatchn. An old woman named Parandzem tried to burn the photos of Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan during Raffi Hovannisian’s speech. The latter noticed her and did not allow to do it.
Speaking to Tert.am, one of the residents said, Serzh Sargsyan did not visit Nor Hatchn during the election campaign because of Parandzem who does not conceal her negative attitude toward the president.

Raffi Hovannisian’s tour’s last stop was in Abovian where he won in 21 out of 25 polling stations at February 18 presidential poll.

He told the residents of Abovian that he met with ambassador of Germany, earlier with Russian ambassador and US. “All these states are worthy of respect but they and our strategic partner Russia must first of all respect our national interest, the choice of the Armenian people. No matter which state Moscow, Washington, Brussels, Chine be our strategic partner they first of all should respect our interest, the choice of the Armenian people, our national interest starting from recognition of Artsakh till recognition and compensation of Genocide,” he said.
