Ruling party MP does not exclude Serzh Sargsyan’s meeting with Raffi Hovannisian in Liberty Square

Nothing is excluded in politics, neither Serzh Sargsyan’s meeting with Raffi Hovannisian in the Liberty Square, ruling party MP Hovannes Sahakyan said, speaking to Tert.am, asked about the possibility of president’s visit of Heritage party leader.

“We have no complexes to visit the Liberty Square, our people who are there. There is no complex and there is no need to focus on it, especially in case when we highlight the content and not the form and the invitation of Serzh Sargsyan to Raffi Hovannisian for them to talk again and try to find answers to certain questions was aimed at it,” the MP said.

He added that they are waiting for the Constitutional Court’s ruling to ‘invite as a winning party for talks.’

The main response of the authorities to the processes taking place in the square is - who has said we do not know about complaints which were expressed by 37% of votes given to Raffi Hovannisian?

The ruling party MP said the authorities understand quite well the issues existing in the country being among the people and by their side.

“The authorities clearly realize the causes of complaint and the issues and we have really convinced and continue doing it today that we are going to radical, brave changes. It is necessary to understand that we should make these changes in our everyday life and not focus on the change of few officials as it will not change the working style, mentality,” Hovannes Sahakyan said, convincing that the changes will be seen in the near future.

He stressed that taking into consideration that the inauguration day is coming, new government will be formed the ‘ideology and basis of which will be the change of mentality and working style.’

Nevertheless the publication of the ruling party’s non-official list in the Yerevan Council of Elders elections on May 5 has revealed that the majority of them are from acting Council of Elders staff.

Sahakyan said in Council of Elders case the proportional list is a bit specific the number one in it being the most important circumstance.

The MP said the number one in their list is Taron Margaryan whose work in Yerevan yards and streets during the past 1-2 years is quite noticeable.
