Armenia ranked 4th with growth of number of Facebook users, the 1st among CIS with its Facebook penetration index - Socialbakers

Socialbakers.com website known for publication of statistical information and analyses has updated the statistical data of the number of Facebook users by country.

In Armenia Facebook is becoming widely used with the growth of the number of users being higher from the global average index. The issue is whether it is good or bad taking into consideration the tendency of decline of the number of its users in the whole world and even in Facebook ‘homeland’ USA.

As of April 3, the leading countries with the number of Facebook users are the USA with 163 million users, followed by Brazil with 66.5 million and India with 63 million. The lowest number of Facebook users is registered in Vatican – 20 users.

Currently, there are 416520 Facebook users in the Armenia, which makes it #112 in the ranking of all Facebook statistics by Country. The leading country in the CIS is Russia with 7.5 million Facebook users.

If to view the changes of the number of Facebook users during the past three months we will see that the highest index has been ensured by Djibouti which has registered 50% growth of number of Facebook users. The remarkable thing is that out of 212 countries growth of number of Facebook users have been registered only among 91. Only in 3 countries no changes in number have been registered and in the majority of countries tendency of decline has been noticed. The biggest decline has been registered in Japan – 30.3%. The remarkable thing is that the USA as well has registered 2.25% decline of the number of Facebook users.

Socialbakers.com social networking statistics show that Facebook penetration in Armenia is 14.03% compared to the country's population and 30.61% in relation to number of Internet users. The total number of FB users in Armenia is reaching 416520 and grew by more than 72210 in the last 6 months.

Facebook penetration index is also considered an important index. In this respect Monaco is the first exceeding 100%, followed by Katar 78.66%.

Armenia is just the 130th with this index but if to view the CIS countries rating Armenia will be the leading one followed by Azerbaijan with 12.74%, Moldova 6.8, Russia 5.3%, Ukraine and Belarus with 5.11%.

Armenia Facebook demographics is other social media statistics we monitor. The largest age group is currently 18-24 with total of 135 280 users, followed by the users in the age of 25-34. There are 50% male users and 50% female users in Armenia
