British scientist creates a drunk without alcohol pill that shows promise
Monday, Professor David Nutt of Imperial College London announced that he has created a pill that will allow people to be drunk without alcohol and the news has created a buzz.
The so called drunk without alcohol pill would allow people to get the sensation of being drunk, but without the dangers that drinking alcohol may do the liver or brain. Hangovers would also be eliminated, according to MSN.
Professor David Nutt of Imperial College London wrote an article in the Guardian that explained the process of how the drunk without alcohol pill works. Since alcohol target’s the brain and the Gaba system, the drunk without alcohol pill would do the same, but without the alcohol. The drunk without alcohol pill would also not have the side effects of addictiveness or aggression, but would give the user an overall sense of calm.
David Nutt said that he identified five compounds that will act as though it is a substitute for alcohol. He said that he has tested the drunk without alcohol pill on himself and so far the tests have shown great promise.
