Google Chrome blocks access to Russian RIA Novosti

The Google Chrome Browser in the afternoon on December 22 blocked access to the official site of RIA Novosti news agency.

In attempt to come on ria.ru portal via the browser there is a message "the website to which users want to pass, contains malicious software", Rupaper.com reported.

Besides a site ria.ru, from the Google Chrome browser sites of sports agency "R-Sport" and economic "Prime" do not open. In other browsers the site of RIA Novosti news agency opens normally. As explained in the agency, blocking is connected with part of a program code. Thus in RIA Novosti news agency declared that harmful elements in a code aren't present, and the incident is caused by carried-out

Google change of the protocol of indexing. Representatives of agency already directed request for repeated scanning of a site and expect that the question will be soon resolved.

This is not the first time a Russian news website is exposed to blocking from web browsers because of alleged existence of malicious software. Since the December 2013 of Chrome is said to have blocked access to sites of Interfax and REGNUM agency.
