Iran willing to invest in Armenia’s solar-power engineering

Doctor of Technical Sciences Vahan Hamazaspyan told reporters on Tuesday that the Iranian Embassy in Armenia is concerned over the press politicizing the interest in Armenian-Iranian cooperation in solar power engineering.

“The Iranian side is concerned over the claims that Iran has allegedly stated its intention to struggle against Russian gas supplies,” he said.

Iran is ready to invest in solar power engineering in Armenia. Iranian solar power engineering companies are willing to host Armenian specialists, whereafter the issue of agreements and investments will be high on the agenda.

“Joint production is preferable,” Hamazaspyan said. The Armenian side has sent five business proposals to Iranian companies.

“Let them study the business proposals and we see. Establishing a production is worth $8m.”
