Apple map blunder confuses Canadians

Apple has released a map displaying all the locations in Canada where iPhone 6 handsets can be delivered.


Unfortunately, the tech giant has made a few geographical faux pas, with the company placing Toronto on the Ottawa River, adding Edmonton northwest of Calgary and labeling Vancouver Island as a peninsula of the mainland. Quebec City is also erroneously labeled Quebec, reports Viral Global News.


The map appears when customers attempt to pre-order one of the company’s latest phones – the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus.


Those who select a link about the delivery timelines were greeted with the error-riddled map.


The mistakes have prompted derision across social networks, with many Twitter users playfully mocking Apple’s blunders.
