EEU scientific projects of interest to Armenia – official

The Armenian Education Ministry’s State Committee of Science is going to expand its collaboration with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), directing special efforts to the defense sector, the agency’s head said today.


“We will strengthen the ties especially with Russia, as the EEU countries have projects that will be of fundamental importance to both them and us. The cooperation will be aimed at the solution of defense issues, as well as applied sciences, nanotechnologies and the IT sector,” Samvel Harutyunyan told reporters.


He said that they also expect progress in the Advanced Research Electron Accelerator Laboratory (Areal) project implemented by the Synchrotone research institute Candle.
 
“We will soon receive important equipment for our new accelerator from Germany and Switzerland. It will be ultimately clarified whether or not the Candle project is a working one for
