Hovik Abrahamyan to conduct working trip to Czech Republic
An Armenian government delegation led by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan will be on an official trip to the Czech Republic from June 1 to 3, reports the Government’s press service.
In capital Prague, the head of Armenia’s cabinet will meet with his Czech counterpart, Bohuslav Sobotka, (who has invited him to carry out the visit). The talks between the two prime ministers will be followed by an extended meeting; the sides will later sign bilateral cooperation documents and hold a joint press conference. The Armenian and Czech cabinet chiefs are also scheduled to attend the opening of a bilateral business forum.
On the sidelines of his visit, PM Abrahamyan will also have meetings with President of the Czech Senate Milan Stech, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Jan Hamachek and Archbishop of Prague, Cardinal Dominiqe Duka. A meeting with the local Armenian community is also on the agenda.
The premier is also set to visit the Lidice Memorial in Prague to lay flower on the memorial to children killed during World War II. Later, accompanied by Czech Minister of Culture Daniel Herman, he will attend the opening of an exhibition dedicated to child victims of the Armenian Genocide.
