The pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party is the only party raising the issue of Armenian Genocide during the election campaign, doing so at its meetings with the target groups, expert in Turkic studies Ruben Melkonyan told Tert.am.

“Political parties raise the issue of genocide when they know it can bring votes to them. To substantiate I can note that the ruling party, particularly the Turkish premier, is critical of the pro-Kurdish party, warning the voters against supporting it. Otherwise, it will include the issue of the Armenian Genocide on the political agenda because they are a party sponsored by the Armenian Diaspora,” Mr Melkonyan said.

Any candidate involved in political processes in Turkey becomes an Armenophobe and Nazi because they have to make anti-Armenian statements for Turkey’s Armenophobic society to perceive them and vote for them.
