HP launches Pro Tablet 608 for business users

The HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 is HP's latest Windows tablet for the traveling business user, Pcmag.com reported.

It is built with excellent connectivity, all-day battery life, and above all, portability in mind. Its 8-inch screen has full HD resolution, and then some, so text and graphics are sharp and readable.

The Pro Tablet 608 G1 is equipped with a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor with integrated Intel HD graphics. It can be equipped with 2GB or 4GB of system memory, and either 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of eMMC storage. While not as fast as the SSD-based storage in some performance laptops, eMMC storage is certainly fast enough for information retrieval, slideshow presentations with animation, and HD video playback. HP promises 8 hours of battery life, enough for all-day computing.

The tablet weighs 0.8 pounds, and measures a svelte 0.33 by 5.4 by 8.14 inches (HWD). The 8-inch, 2,048-by-1,536 (QXGA) resolution screen can display 1080p HD videos natively. It uses a 4:3 screen aspect ratio, which helps keep the tablet balanced in your hands better than a 16:9 screen.
