EU supports Armenia’s reforms agenda – Donald Tusk

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received on Monday President of the European Council Donald Tusk.

Armenia’s premier welcomed the guest and commended Armenia’s cooperation with the European Union (EU). He pointed out mutual political will and commitments to deepen and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Mr Tusk thanked Armenia’s premier for a warm reception. He said he was happy to visit friendly Armenia once again and discuss prospects for strengthening the Armenia-EU ties.

As President of the European Council he is sure that Armenia is an important partner for the European Council in the region. Following the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga, the EU it is ready to intensify cooperation. The EU is supporting Armenia’s constitutional reforms agenda. Mr Tusk expressed the confidence reforms will be implemented with the Armenian premier’s personal contribution.

The sides discussed a wide range of issues related to development of Armenia-EU.
