All the visitors to the DigiTec Expo international High-Tech exhibition arrive at the conclusion that IT is Armenia’s future.

Not only well-known IT companies, but also companies from Armenia’s regions and Yerevan school students participated in the exhibition “Fest for Technological Armenians.”

School students from Vedi, Ararat region, presented their “army-helper” robot.

“It can reach the enemy border, video record and wiretap. It also has a destruction system. It has unfolding wings and a grenade-launching function. It also has a first aid system,” student Erik Petrosyan said.

The robot also has a self-destruction function. Moreover, it cannot be damaged by a mine blast because it is to light.

“This is a call to the Armenian army for more attention to robot-building,” he said.

Students of Yerevan’s School of Physics and Mathematics presented several robots. Students of the Sebastia education center presented a color-differentiating robot.

“This year we have decided to give a chance to all the people that are not students at the TUMO center for creative technologies to feel the taste of being a TUMO student. They take an hour-long training course in robot-building, drawing, web-site design under a special program,” Zara Budaghyan, Head of the Communication Department, told Tert.am.
