Toyota recalls over 1 million RAV4s for seatbelt problem

Toyota will recall 1,124,000 models of the 2006-2012 RAV4 and 2012-2014RAV4 EV, Autoblog.com reports.

The Problem is reported to be a severe frontal crash that could cause the metal seat cushion frame to sever the rear seats' lap-shoulder seatbelts. This would result in the seatbelts not fully restraining occupants, and the accident could be more likely to injure them.

Toyota dealers are expected add resin covers to the metal seat cushion frame.
