You can now do more than just "like" a Facebook post. Today, the social media giant unveiled what they call "reactions" buttons.

But are people truly "loving" it, or is it just going too far?

Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry. These are the emotions you can now express on Facebook, Wdaz.com reports.

"It was something inevitable," said Max Redmann. "Probably going to happen eventually."

To add one of these reactions you just hover over the like button while on a computer. Or if you're on the app, the new reactions appear as you hold down on the like button.

"Definitely be able to express yourself more and in different ways, it's a good thing," said Maggie Burke.
But not everyone is "loving" these new features.

"I think it's going too far in depth," said Jack Wilcox.

And some say people may now hold back on sharing how they feel.

"They'll be scared, they might get a bunch of angry likes," said Wilcox.

But on the flip side, many are overjoyed about this new trend.

"Instead of people ranting and raving about things they can now be a little bit more specific," said Redmann.

And even say these new reactions will help create a better picture of issues surrounding the community.

"Especially for all the social justice movements like Black Likes Matter or feminist posts," said Burke. "You know their posts that you don't want to 'like' because they're sad or angry so I guess I'll use that instead."

Before being released across the world today, Facebook tested these new "reactions" buttons in Ireland in Spain last fall.
