World hardly informed of Armenia’s IT progress – expert

IT expert and journalist Malcolm Penn, who has arrived in Armenia and visited the Expo 2016 exhibition at the Yerevan Expo exhibition hall, has been impressed by IT innovations by Armenian professionals.

In an interview with Tert.am, he noted that the major problem is that the world is hardly aware of Armenia’s progress and Armenian IT experts ‘achievements.

His task is to tell others about what he has seen in Armenia.

Mr Penn first visited Armenia four years ago to study the country’s IT sector and believes that the country has made significant progress since.

He and his partners have studied the potential of Armenia’s IT companies and can say that ideas have become a reality, with results the world needs.

Armenia has a potential to compete with the world’s leading IT companies.

Mr Penn does not see any reasons for Armenia’s IT sector to remain behind the world development trends as the field is rapidly progressing, which has its impact on Armenia. Mr Penn is impressed by what he has seen, especially by the achievement of State Engineering University of Armenia.
