Numerous changes in Armenia over last ten years - Synopsys co-CEO

Armenian culture is orientated towards family and education, Dr. Chi-Foon Chan, Synopsys’ co-CEO, told reporters prior to the annual IT award ceremony at the Armenian presidential residence.

IT and industry are of paramount importance for a country to be a leader in physics. Armenia has very good engineers, Mr Chi-Foon Chan said.

He has seen numerous changes in Armenia during the last ten years, which involve not only the Internet, but also other fields.

Mr Chi-Foon Chan believes that ten years ago Synopsys engineers did not have such active contacts with the company’s clients in other countries. Now Armenian engineers are working on the major projects ordered by the company’s clients throughout the world. And the IT award is of high importance and paves the way for the next generation of software engineers.
