Prominent Armenian psychologist Elda Grin passes away

The prominent Armenian psychologist, forensic expert and scholar Elda Green has passed away at age 88.

Actor and film director Armen Elbakyan (who is Grin’s son-in-law) confirmed the report to Tert.am earlier earlier on Thursday.

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, Grin chose her path in career as a scholar in psychology. In 1955 she defended a thesis in Psycholinguistics in Moscow and was ever since a psychology professor at the Yerevan State University.

In 1968, she started specializing in forensic psychology, becoming the founder of the discipline in Armenia.

Grin was also known as the author of many books, and stories in Armenian and Russian.
