Highly qualified engineers are in great demand throughout the world, with around 2 million vacancies available.

Next year, about 3 million vacancies will be available, Karen Vardanyan, Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE), told Tert.am.

“We have a chance to be the first country with elementary engineering education in schools. Putting this idea into practice requires US $8-10 million. In this case, the world will rivet its attention on Armenia. In 2019, the world’s top managers will come to Armenia,” Mr Vardanyan said.

The project will upgrade Armenia’s business environment.

“We’ll spend US $10 million to organize elementary engineering education in schools, but we’ll get billions,” Mr Vadranyan said.
