Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Netflix films and shows to look spectacular in HDR

Netflix TV shows and films are going to look spectacular on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

The streaming service has just introduced high dynamic range (HDR)support for the upcoming handset, the Independent reports.

HDR technology makes content look much better, as it allows users to see a greater range of colors and lots more detail in the darkest and brightest parts of a picture.

However, not all smartphones are HDR-capable, and not all of those that are can stream Netflix in HDR.

Netflix introduced support for HDR streaming last year, but it’s only available on the LG V30, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Sony Xperia XZ Premium and Sony Xperia XZ1 smartphones, the Xbox One S and a number of TVs at present.

The amount of HDR content that’s available to stream is also limited right now.
