Republican Party of Armenia nominates Serzh Sargsyan for prime minister

The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) on Saturday held a council session in the resort town of Tsaghkadzor (Kotayk region) to nominate Serzh Serzh Sargsyan for the prime minister’s position.

The proposal, voiced by Acting Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan,  the first deputy leader of the governing political force, received the council’s unanimous approval.  

The RPA will officially submit the former president’s candidacy to the National Assembly on Monday.
