The personal accounts of more than 2,000 Armenian Facebook users have been targeted in recent cyber-bullying attacks provoked by Azerbaijani hackers, an IT security expert warned today, predicting high-chances that the date was intentionally timed to coincide with the First Republic anniversary.

In a public post on Facebook, Samvel Martirosyan says that the Azerbaijanis have stolen and published most users’ login data and passwords after hacking their profiles.

“Many [pages] have not yet been hacked, so you will manage to rapidly change the passwords if you are on the list. There are also many repeated [user names],” reads part of his statement.

Martirosyan has provided a hyperlink through which users can access the list to see if their profiles are among the targeted accounts. No passwords have been published.

The subscribers whose pages turn out to have been spotted in the cybercrime are recommended to visit here to reset their personal information.

Martirosyan also warns Facebook users to avoid opening links received through suspicious private messages.
