“All this exists in Armenia as well”: Russian tourists consider Armenia as an alternative to Georgia

Press secretary of Russia’s tourism industry union Irina Tyurina had announced that Russia considers Armenia as an alternative to Georgia, RusArmInfo informs.

After establishing temporary ban on air companies and a decree signed by Vladimir Putin, all Russian air companies had to cancel all flights to Georgia and tour operators and tour agencies had to stop selling tickets and offer and alternative instead.

 “People visit Georgia for the environment, delicious food and wine. All this exists in Armenia as well, so many tourists change their destinations from Georgia to Armenia”, said Tyurina.
