Revazyan: “Wizz Air” and “Ryanair Airlines” are ready to enter the Armenian air market in 2020, but until then we need to make legislative changes
Education is crucial to ensuring flight safety at a high level. Taking into account the state of our country, it is important for us to be able to find free places in various aviation schools and universities to train our specialists. Summing up her first year in office, Tatevik Revazyan, RA Civil Aviation Committee Chairman, told reporters.
"And the fact that I travel a lot has brought to me that, for example, the Singapore Aviation Academy provides us with free education, the civil aviation of China also provides free education, and one of the French aviation schools gives us free education”, said Revazyan.
The latter mentioned that she tries and already has been able to engage in the development of civil aviation well-known foreign experts. "Recently, one of the world's most famous auditors, who works in international civil aviation, came to Armenia. He said he would give us services for free. Some tips on the government are $20,000-$30,000, he has not given us any restriction, and he is with us. The Singapore Civil Aviation has informed us that it will send a delegation to Armenia which will deal with the airport security, to understand what we have. And it's free again. "
Tatevik Revazyan also touched upon the companies carrying out budgetary flights, in particular, mentioned that during this one year she had debates and negotiations with these companies.
"We have to make a suggestion to change the law, and we must do something about air money. The biggest obstacle is that the costs are high in Armenia, that is, the tariffs are high and the air is high. We want to offer to remove the air money for new destinations, because when the airline opens a new route it is very risky and it takes time to develop that direction. We have just been told that if we accept that law and if at the same time Zvartnots airport is ready to lower tariffs for new destinations, they are ready to enter the Armenian air market. I am talking about "Wizz Air" and "Ryanair Airlines" who are ready to enter Armenia at the same time," Revazyan said.
