High-tech minister briefs Tajik counterpart on Armenia's progress in digital technologies

Armenia's minister of high-tech industries on Wednesday briefed his Tajik counterpart on the country's progress in digitalization industries, expressing a government-level interest in future exchange opportunities and partnership ties.

At the meeting with Fayzulloda Zarobiddin, Tajikistan's minister of industry and new technlogies, Hakob Arshakyan also introduced the Engineering City project and the activities of internationally acclaimed Armenian startups.

Arshakyan also dwelt upon the Armenian model of technological education (the Armat engineering labs in secondary schools the Tumo Centers for Creative Technologies and the National Polytechnic Laboratories) and the state policies towards protection of eco-systems.

According to a press release by the Ministry of High-Tech Industries, he also outlined the major trends of the newly established agency's functions.

Thanking the minister for a warm reception, Zarobiddin said he is aware of Armena's technological achievements and progress. He briefed Arshakyan on the functions of his ministry's sectoral trends, and contribution to the country's economic development. Highlighting technologies' development and practical application in virtually all the branches of the economy, he expressed an interest in cooperation in a wide range of areas.

At the end of the meeting, Arshakyan instructed the correspondig ministry subdivisions to collaborate with colleagues in Tajikistan to elaborate and submit specific proposals.
