Man who recently died from COVID-19 'had serious pre-existing health problems'

The 68-year-old man who died from coronavirus on Sunday night was a resident of Maralik (Shirak region) who was only recently discharged from the Gyumri Hospital of Infectious Diseases.
The patient reportedly suffered also from pre-existing conditions.
According to Artak Gevorgyan, the mayor of the enlarged community of Ani, he did not have much contact with the outside work and lived in the family with his wife who did not work and had, reportedly, no idea about the scope of her husband's contacts.
"The deceased had very little contact with people; he was doing hunting in the past years and arranged all his life and all routine activities accordingly. He had rather serious health problems over the past few years and was receiving treatment," he told Tert.am.
Gevorgyan added that the man died in Yerevan after several days of treatment in a regional clinic. In his words, there was initially no suspicion of COVID-19. The daughter of the man's family, which lives in Yerevan, is now reported to be in a self-isolation quarantine.
