16 Armenian troops killed, over 100 wounded in clashes along Nagorno-Karabakh frontline

As many as 16 Armenian servicemen are known to have been killed and over 100 - suffered physical damages in the heavy offensives provoked by Azerbaijan along the Line of Contact earlier today.

The preliminary infirmation on the casualties was released by Shushan Stepanyan, the Defense Ministry's spokeswoman, who referred to earlier reports by Artur Sargsyan, a deputy minister of defense.

Azerbaijan's armed forces launched missile and aerial strikes along the frontline at around 7:10am local time on Sunday. The attacks targeted civilian infrastructures and settlements, including the capital city of Stepanakert. Also heavy damages and civilian casualties were reported (including the death of a woman and a child). The adversary also shelled several schools.

Armenia has neutralized four helicopters, 15 UAVs (including offensives aerial vehicles), 10 tanks and an infantry vehicles belonging to Azerbaijan's air forces.

Both Armenia and Artsakh hae declared martial law. The military operations continue.
