The new text of the Constitution must be ready by 2026. The people will decide whether to have a new constitution or not

It is not right to link the constitutional changes with any external factors. It is our internal question, our people will decide whether it wants to have a new constitution or doesn't want to. The Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan stated this at a briefing with journalists.

He noted that everything should be done to make the new text of the Constitution ready until the 2026 elections.

Galyan reminded that the process of constitutional reforms began immediately after the 2018 revolution, and during this time the authorities continued to raise the work on that direction.

"I have repeatedly referred to when the work started with the new constitution or the work of the constitutional changes, and by browing history pages, the public was convinced that it was immediately after the revolution," said Srbi Galyan.
