Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent congratulatory messages to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the Vice President of the United States, J.D. Vance, on the occasion of the national holiday, Independence Day.

The message addressed to President Trump reads:

Dear Mr. President,

Please accept my warmest congratulations to you, your family, and the friendly people of the United States of America on the occasion of Independence Day.

This year's celebration is of particular significance as it marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States - a historic milestone reflecting the enduring vitality of the values of freedom and independence upon which the Founding Fathers established the nation. At the same time, Independence Day symbolizes the strength and resilience of the American people, thanks to which the United States continues to play a pivotal role in contemporary international relations and major global developments.

The Republic of Armenia and the United States of America are united not only by shared interests but also by a long-standing friendship aimed at promoting peace, stability, and prosperity. In this context, I would like to emphasize the importance of your steadfast leadership in advancing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity initiative, on the implementation of which our two countries are now beginning practical cooperation, will undoubtedly serve as an important guarantee of peace and pave the way for a more peaceful, interconnected, and prosperous region. Speaking of peace, I cannot fail to mention the Peace Council initiative launched by you and Armenia's accession to it as a founding member, which constitutes yet another testament to the shared vision of Armenia and the United States for achieving lasting peace.

I am pleased to note that the comprehensive strategic partnership established between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America has acquired new substance, encompassing numerous new areas of mutual interest. I am confident that the consistent implementation of our shared agenda will further strengthen bilateral relations for the benefit of our two peoples.

I wish you good health and every success in your endeavors, and I wish the people of the United States peace, prosperity, and continued progress.

I warmly recall your visit to Armenia in February of this year, which was of great importance for the further deepening and strengthening of the partnership between our countries. In addition to giving fresh impetus to Armenia–U.S. cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, defense, and other areas, your visit became a clear demonstration of the high-level political dialogue and mutual trust between Armenia and the United States, creating new opportunities for expanding our cooperation across various sectors.
