Armenia and Egypt has discussed prospects for cooperation in education

As part of a working visit to France, Armenia's Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan, met with Egypt's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdel Aziz Konsowa.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia announced the meeting.

Deputy Minister Artur Martirosyan also attended the meeting.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Armenia and Egypt in the fields of education, higher education, and science, emphasizing the importance of strengthening educational ties and promoting the exchange of experience between the two countries.

Minister Andreasyan presented the ongoing reforms in Armenia's higher education and science sectors, highlighting the "Academic City" project and noting that particular importance is being attached to the involvement of international partners.

The participants also discussed the Armenia–Egypt sectoral cooperation program, which is currently under development. They further addressed cooperation in higher education and the mutual recognition of academic qualifications and graduation documents.

The two sides expressed interest in implementing joint scientific research projects, co-financing research grants, and expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and scientific organizations in both countries.
