The Government begins the ratification process for TRIPP; draft to be submitted to the constitutional court

The issue of ratifying the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America concerning the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project has been included on the agenda of the Armenian government's July 16 meeting.

According to the draft government decision, the government will apply to the Constitutional Court to determine whether the obligations set out in the agreement are consistent with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. If the Constitutional Court finds that the agreement's obligations comply with the Constitution, the government's legislative initiative will be submitted to the National Assembly in accordance with the established procedure.

Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan will serve as the government's representative before the Constitutional Court during the proceedings.
