Relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom have made significant progress in recent years. Ruben Rubinyan receives the UK Ambassador to Armenia

On August 13, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan received Alexandra Cole, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia. This was reported by the National Assembly.

The Ambassador congratulated Ruben Rubinyan on his election as President of the National Assembly of Armenia.

During the meeting, the sides noted with satisfaction that relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom have made significant progress in recent years and are developing within the framework of a strategic partnership.

In this context, they discussed the importance of the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership, as well as the United Kingdom’s support and role in Armenia’s democratic reforms, the peace process, and the development of bilateral relations.

Issues related to regional developments were also discussed.

The sides emphasized the importance of further deepening and expanding cooperation between Armenia and the United Kingdom in political, economic, and other areas, as well as the continued development of interparliamentary cooperation.
