“We are bringing Armenia closer to the EU while working toward a peaceful and prosperous South Caucasus.” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote this on her X page.

“We are bringing Armenia closer to the EU while working toward a peaceful and prosperous South Caucasus.

We are building roads and bridges through our €200 million connectivity package. And bridges between people through our peace-promoting investments.

Our autonomous trade measures will open up new opportunities. Because 80% of Armenia’s exports to the EU market are now exempt from customs duties.

We expect these measures to be finally adopted by EU legislators tomorrow, in record time.

And finally, we are strengthening energy security.

Thus, the EU-Armenia partnership is moving fast, forward, and stronger than ever,” von der Leyen wrote.
