Ararat Mirzoyan and Philippine Foreign Secretary agree to intensify high-level bilateral visits

Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Philippine Foreign Secretary Theresa Lazaro.

The interlocutors discussed opportunities for developing relations between Armenia and the Philippines. In this context, it was emphasized that, amid advances in high technologies, geographical distance has less of an impact on the prospects for developing cooperation, and that there are new areas of mutual interest.

An agreement was reached to intensify high-level bilateral visits.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Theresa Lazaro exchanged views on issues of cooperation in multilateral platforms. In this context, they also discussed the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be held in Yerevan in October.
