Pashinyan highlights close cooperation between the Government of Armenia and the IMF and jointly implemented programs in the country

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Alexander Tieman, Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission in Armenia. This was reported by the Government.

The Prime Minister emphasized the close cooperation established between the Government of Armenia and the IMF, as well as the programs being jointly implemented in the country. In this regard, Nikol Pashinyan added that the programs implemented with the IMF contribute to the effective implementation of the Armenian Government’s reform agenda.

Alexander Tieman emphasized the effectiveness of cooperation with the Government of Armenia and noted that the IMF is also interested in consistently advancing the joint agenda.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to ongoing cooperation and future programs. They addressed macroeconomic developments and the main directions of fiscal policy. They also exchanged views on developments taking place in the region, including infrastructure projects.
