Argentine delegation of senators and deputies visits Armenian Genocide Memorial
On October 2, a delegation of senators and deputies of the Republic of Argentina visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by Rafael Enrique González Alemán, Ambassador of Argentina to the Republic of Armenia. This was reported by the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation.
“The delegation was welcomed and accompanied throughout the visit by Lusine Abrahamyan, Deputy Director for Museum Affairs at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. At the beginning of the visit, she presented the history of the construction of the Armenian Genocide Memorial, its architectural features, and its significance.
The guests from Argentina laid flowers at the eternal flame, paying tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
The members of the delegation then toured the permanent and temporary exhibitions, learning about the history of the Armenian Genocide, the course of its implementation, the human and cultural losses suffered by the Armenian people, as well as efforts aimed at preserving historical memory.
At the end of the tour, the members of the delegation made entries in the Book of Honorary Guests of the Armenian Genocide Museum,” the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation said in its statement.
