Vahagn Khachaturyan and António Guterres discussed the importance of regional peace for infrastructure and tourism development

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres at the Presidential Residence.

Welcoming the guest to Yerevan, the President highly praised his efforts to strengthen international peace and address global challenges, and emphasized the importance of his participation in the Leaders’ Summit.

António Guterres thanked the President for the warm welcome, noted that he was impressed by Armenia and Yerevan, and highlighted the importance of hosting the COP conference.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of regional peace for infrastructure and tourism development. They also addressed bilateral program cooperation between Armenia and the United Nations, as well as issues related to UN reforms.

The meeting between the President of the Republic of Armenia and the UN Secretary-General subsequently continued over a working dinner.
