House of Armenian book to be opened in Moscow

'Happy New Year, Happy New Home' is the motto of the opening of the House of Armenian book in Moscow.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Jan. 13, 2012.

Andranik Nikoghosyan, Chairman of the Governing Body, CIS Youth Union, reported that the house of Armenian book will be located at 19 Basmannaya Str, Moscow.

The House of Armenian book was to be opened this December, but the opening ceremony was put off for technical reasons. The House of Armenian book in Moscow will be a replica of its counterpart, House of Russian book in Yerevan, which was opened Oct. 7, 2011.

The Armenia press center at the House of Armenian book will cooperate with its counterpart in Yerevan.

The House of Armenian book in Moscow will be publishing the Armenian world in Russia magazine. Armenian language courses for all age groups, an Armenian Book shop and a club will operate as well.

On Oct. 1, the Governing Body of the CIS Youth Council approved a decision on opening of Houses of Armenian book in a number of Russian cities – Rostov, Nizhni Novgorod, Voronezh, Sochi, Krasnodar, Surgut, Tyumen, Tver and Yaroslavl.
