India in Armenians’ eyes: exhibition devoted to India’s Independence Day opens in Yerevan

A photo exhibition devoted to the 63rd anniversary of India’s independence is opening in Yerevan.

The event titled India in Armenians’ Eyes is set to run from January 20 to 22 at the Narekatsi Art Center. Its organizers are the Armenian-Indian Friendship NGO and the Indian Embassy to Armenia.

According to a press release by the organizers, the initiative aims to feature the cultural and historical wonders of India, as portrayed by Armenian travelers.

A large number of Armenians who visit India every year with different purposes fix their memories in video cameras to share them with their loved in Armenia.

Indian Ambassador to Armenia Achal Kumar Malhotra will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
