Karin dance group marks 10th anniversary

After his meeting with Hairik Muradyan, the cybernetician Gagik Ginosyan decided to devote himself to Armenian national culture.

So ten years ago the Karin folk dance group was formed.

On Thursday, in Yerevan’s Aram Khachatryan hall, the group marked its 10th anniversary. “I wanted to revive the dances our forefathers would perform. I even visited Western Armenia and tried to find the patterns. Over the past six or seven years we have conducted training courses in folk dances thereby promoting dissemination of folk dances,” said Ginosyan.

Armenia’s Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan attended the jubilee concert. “Over the past ten years, the Karin group has remained committed to its original course,” she said.|
 
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his wife attended the concert as well.
