Armenian scholar’s book on Talysh culture book of year in Iran

A book on culture and traditions on the Talysh people by Prof. Garnik Asatryan, Head of the Department of Iranian Studies, Yerevan State University, has been recognized a book of the year in Iran.

The book entitled “Talysh traditions and folktales” received the high appraisal at a competition of research in Iranian studies.

The book was presented at the 3rd international conference on Talysh studies in Yerevan last year.

A few years ago, the Department of Iranian Studies, Yerevan State University, published a book on history and culture of the Talysh people.
