Georgia selects participant for Eurovision 2012

Georgian singer Anri Jokhadze is going to represent the country in the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest set to take place Baku, Azerbaijan in May.

According to the Georgian news website Aspny.ge, the singer was given such honor thanks to votes of TV viewers and a professional jury.

Jokhadze is going to introduce the song “I am a Joker” at the contest.

Three other singers – Boris Bedia, Edward Tatiani and Levan Jibladzem-, and five bands - November, Vanilla Cage, Mirror Illusion, REMA and Industrial City – had applied to the Georgian Public Broadcaster for attending Eurovision.

Azerbaijan’s 2011 Eurovision representative, Sabina Babaeva, was invited to the event as a special guest.
