All-Armenian brainstorming competition in Gyumri

The all-Armenian intellectual competition “What, where, when?” Gyumri Cup was held in Armenia’s second largest city on March 10 and 11, on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of intellectual games in Armenia.

The first game took place in Gyumri, so the competition was held there, with 25 teams from Yerevan, Gyumri and Nagorno-Karabakh participating in it.

Arman Sahakyan, President of the Shirak football club, sponsored the competition. In 1994-’95 he had the honor of being a Gyumri team member. He said he is happy to sponsor the competition.

“The game cannot develop without sponsors. I am happy that the game has got state support. Arman Sahakyan is among the individuals realizing the importance of educating young people. He is well aware of efficiency of intellect in state development,” said Suren Manukyan, Vice-Chairman of the Armenian Brainstorming Association.

Aram Sahakyan made a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the competition. Before the game, he awarded souvenirs to the Senator club members.

“I think we have organized a successful competition. Another two competitions are ahead, and I hope the Gyumri teams will show a better game,” Sahakyan said.
