VivaCell-MTS sponsors next season of Barekamutyun state ensemble

VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, is glad to announce sponsorship of just another initiative by the Barekamutyun state ensemble, dedicated to the International Dance Day.

Multi-genre repertoire, professional approach, love of art and hard work – these are the constituents that have guaranteed the 25 years of popularity for Barekamutyun, the honored state dance ensemble of Armenia.

The honored collective, granted the title in 2008, has won the sympathy of the audiences in Armenia, Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, France, China and other countries. Leading telecommunications operator encourages the dance company’s talent and absolute devotion to the Armenian traditional dance art.

“Traditional dance is a way of thinking that reflects a system of values. Performing traditional dances of a people means creating an image of that people. Barekamutyun manages to embody Armenian men – strong and stable as citadel, and Armenian women – soft and tender as velvet. The company, which presents one of our centuries-old arts and wins ovations in the concert halls of the world, continues to be popular regardless of the changes time brings. Armenian dances have been staged based on the works by great Armenian composers Komitas, Sayat-Nova, Aram Khachaturyan, Arno Babajanyan, Tigran Mansuryan and others. Barekamutyun has been involved in the staging of the Spartacus ballet for about four months; it is also engaged in the performances of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.
