Anahit Bakhshyan’s book presented in Yerevan

A book by Anahit Bakhshyan, a member of the opposition Heritage party faction in parliament, was presented in Yerevan on Wednesday.

“I am Accountable” is the title of the publication in which the author has tried to feature her past work in the National Assembly.
 

Speaking at the ceremony, Bakhsyan described the initiative as a kind of reporting on the kind of work she did with the party’s lawmakers and other members since being elected to parliament in 2007. She said that the idea to write the book belongs to Hovsep Khurshudyan, the Heritage press secretary, who recommended all the members to work in that direction.
 

Bakhshyan has dedicated the book to her late husband, a former parliament member, Yuri Bakhshyan, who was killed during a terrorist attack at the National Assembly in October 1999.
 

The book, which consists of 223 pages, comprises 15%-20% of the questions raised at Q&A sessions with the executive, as well as different statements, speeches and interviews with the media. It also contains the opinions of different people, and a few photos each of which, Bakhshyan said, features a life story.
 

“At the end, there is a table that will enable our citizens to know about the people who turned to us with different problems, and the solutions we gave to those problems, and also the time period we needed to resolve or at least raise them,” she said.
