Small Singers of Armenia choir best in Stockholm festival
Small Singers of Armenia choir participated in Let the Future Sing Stockholm festival conducted once in three years. Tigran Hekekyan, art director of the choir, chief conductor, told the reporters on Tuesday that the Armenian choir was recognized one of the best.
After the festival the choir received an opportunity to perform in one of the best stages of Stockholm – Konserthuset concert hall. The festival was conducted in late April with the participation of choirs from six countries. Sweden sent a participation invitation to the Armenia’s Ministry of Culture. The three out of six choirs were recognized the best, among them the Armenian one.
The Armenian choir performed the works of Komitas, Nerses Shnorhali, Stepan Shakaryan, Robert Petrosyan, and others.
In early July the choir will be in Japan for tour performance.
