Virginia hosts 20th Armenian Festival

The 20^th Armenian Festival was held recently in the United States city of Alexandria, State of Virginia (US).

According to a press release by the Foreign Ministry, the event was a joint initiative by the Alexandria-Gyumri Sister Cities’ Committee, the patriotic NGO Vardanants Aspetner (Vardanants Knights) and the Alexandria City Hall.

The participants had a chance to listen to Armenian music and get familiarized with the Armenian choreographic art, as well as taste Armenian dishes.
 

Welcoming remarks at the festival opening were delivered by representatives of the City Hall and the Armenian Embassy.

The Alexandria mayor has declared June 2 Day of Armenia.
