Come Home 2012 program’s third round opens

The familiarizing visits of Diaspora Armenian young people within the framework of the Come Home program continue with the 3d round opened today.

In this round 110 Diaspora Armenian young people have arrived from Russia, Georgia, Abkhazia, the USA, Syria, Jordan, Romania and Canada. They will stay in Armenia for about 15 days.

Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan welcomed the participants and said they will be hosted by families living in Yerevan Shengavit district and Ararat province.

The ministers also called on the young people to overcome the language difficulties and speak in Armenian while being in Homeland.

Head of the Abkhazian group Satenik Davtyan thanked the minister for such an opportunity and promised to keep Armenians’ dignity high.

Head of the Syrian group George Melkunyan thanked the minister for giving them an opportunity to stay in motherland not for the scheduled 15 days but till September.

Come Home 2012 program is being implemented from June 10 till September 4 in eight rounds.
