Vardan Petrosyan to refer to Harsnakar case in his solo performance

Actor Vardan Petrosyan, after his tour in Los Angeles, has edited his “Ladies and gentlemen, 50/50” solo performance for staging it in Yerevan.  

The changes are agreed with the tragic death of military doctor Vahe Avetyan, severely beaten in Harsnakar restaurant.

The solo performance is again in a political satyr genre. Speaking to reporters today, the actor said presenting such tragic incidents in this genre is rather difficult but in the other hand, as a man of art, he cannot keep silence.

“It is a matter of permissiveness. It’s when they are breeding mad dogs to attack people. There was a time when signboards “Mad dog” were hanging in courtyards in Russia . People going there knew about the existence of the mad dog that could attack them. If a person does not keep such dog, it is possible to avoid such problem,” he said. “I think an environment has been formed where people have created punitive squads beating who they want,” the actor said.

Petrosyan said if the situation remains the same there is no guarantee that tomorrow they will not raise their hand on president’s institute. “Well, they cannot raise their hand on the incumbent president, but tomorrow driving along Baghramyan street they can say, “Let’s visit and spank the president”. Everything takes to it,” he said.

The actor said the heroes of the solo performance are the current society, the people.
