Children’s appliqué contest in Shoushi

A children’s appliqué contest has been organized in Nagorno-Karabakh’s city of Shoushi by the joint efforts of the country’s Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs and the local branch of the Naregatsi Art Center.

The event, entitled Fatherland, was held as part of the second International Symposium dedicated to Hakob Gyurjyan’s sculptoral art.

The contest brought together some twenty children who attend canvas and miniature painting classes at the center.
 

A special jury composed of sculptors and painters participating in the symposium is due to evaluate the team works.
 

According to a press release by the center, the results will be announced at the opening ceremony on Tuesday.
